Northern Purpose. Amir Alexander. Was On Saturday, September 29th. @ at a secret location, 10pm - late

Amir Alexander (Vanguard Sound, Plan B Recordings, Machine Dreams)
Brendan Clark (Northern Purpose)
Carl H (Northern Purpose)

After finally recovering from our mammoth birthday weekend we are ready to set sail on another journey. It was fitting to find the right DJ to christen our new venue. So flying in from the US we have Florida-raised, Chicago-based Amir Alexander. A long time DJ since ’93 and producer since ’98. He created Vanguard Sound in February 2006 with the first release hitting down in 2011.
After making his presence felt in the Chicago club scene Amir decided to focus on advancing his production skills. Soon after he ...
linked up with G Marcell and Hakim Murphy, then began to release gritty tracks on labels Bearatonerecordings, Plan B, Machine Dreams and Vanguard Sound. His recent release on new label Argot flew off the shelves. Future releases include 'Everybody's Beautiful EP' on Hypercolour and a combined release with Hakim Murphy on Finale Sessions. The future looks very bright for this underground soldier “a cat that strives to bring a raw and gritty modern spin on classic Detroit, Chicago, and New York sounds”.

The venue will be announced close to the event date.

Socialeyes. DJ K-1 (Aux 88 / Optic Nerve, Detroit), Psycatron, Colin Dale & Robin Ball. Was On Saturday, September 29th. @ Hidden, 100 Tinworth Street; Vauxhall; London SE11 5EQ, 10pm - 6am

Socialeyes continue their inspired programming with a Detroit tinged special. Flying in from Detroit for a rare London appearance is a true legend. Keith ‘K-1’ Tucker has brought his unique style of Detroit techno to his legions of fans since 1990 and now over 20 years later he’s still at the top of his game releasing quality tracks on his own label Puzzlebox Records under his Optic Nerve guise and as one half of Aux 88’s ‘Black Tokyo’ project.

For this one-off night with a heavy Detroit influence, Socialeyes pop up at Hidden, one of London's truly undercover venues - serving an incredible clubbing experience set in a classic railway arch that combines state of the art sound and lighting with unique mezzanine levels, dramatic passages and walkways.

Joining K-1 is Ireland’s hottest techno act Psycatron who have been touring with Carl Craig to accompany their release on his Planet E Records. To cement their reputation, Psycatron have recently been included in Fact Magazines Top 50 Tracks, performed on London's infamous Boiler Room TV, and had releases on Hotflush, Tresor, R&S and Cocoon.

A great addition to this line up is Colin Dale who is undeniably a UK techno institution! For 16 years his ground-breaking "Abstrakt Dance" radio show on Kiss FM bought Techno to the masses. The show played host to many a Detroit hero as they passed through London on tour.

All these legends in one room rounded up by Socialeyes creator Robin Ball.

Tronic Treatment. Christian Smith, Marco Bailey, Oliver Deutschmann ++. Was On Saturday, September 29th. @ Egg, 200 York Way, Kings X, London, N7, 10pm - 10am

Tronic are hosting the showcase at Egg London.
Tronic founder Christian Smith will be accompanied by Marco Bailey meanwhile Lost Souls ft Oliver Deutschmann are hosting the Terrace.

Originally created in 1994, Christian Smiths Tronic label holds a special place in techno circles. A leading force in shaping a less purist techno style, Tronic was amongst the first labels to embrace sounds from house and techno to create records that DJs from both scenes would play. Spearheaded by Christian Smiths ever-popular productions, the label was re-launched with a bang in 2009 with the re-release of the 1999 hit, Move, which was followed by a run of releases and remixes from Umek, Mark Broom, Fergie, Stryke, Steve Mac, Anton Pieete, Matt Nordstrom, Psycatron, Jim Rivers and Wehbba.

Swedish citizen, Christian Smith spent the late 80's years in Germany soaking up the early house and techno sound of Sven Vath. Now based in Sao Paulo, he has been championing his funky mix of house and soulful techno for more than a decade, playing across Asia, North & South America, and Europe, plus regular slots at festivals like UK's Creamfields, Holland's Dancevalley, Spain's Monegros and Belgium's I Love Techno. His music released on a variety of top labels like Renaissance; Adam Beyer's Drumcode, Josh Wink's Ovum, 100% Pure, John Digweed's Bedrock, and his very own Tronic, only proves his flexibility in the studio. Similarly on the decks, Christian's set is a cauldron of chunky grooves with loads of energy. Some of his favorite clubs are: Womb, Tokyo; Loft, Barcelona; Pacha, Buenos Aires; Arches, Glasgow; and Zouk, Singapore. With a full length solo artist album out on Tronic in early 2010 and massive crossover support from DJ's ranging from John Digweed to Carl Cox to Richie Hawtin, the future is very certain for Christian to stay on top as one of the leaders in forward thinking dance music. Tief 1st Anniversary. Omar S, Portable, Bicep, Hunee, Mano Le Tough, Daniel Wang, Brawther. Was On Friday, September 28th. @ Corsica Studios, 5 Elephant Road, London, SE17 1LB, 10pm - 9am

It has been 10 years since Corsica Studios first opened its doors, and one year since Tief made its debut.
To comemorate these two special milestones we will are throwing the biggest Tief yet.
Its our birthday and we want to spoil ourselves rotten so we will be opening three rooms and filling them with a ridiculous selection of our favourite artists spanning from Omar S to Daniel Wang.
We will also be pushing on for an extra few hours so we can spread everyone out a bit more so you have plenty of time to spend in each room.

Its straight up vinyl-only house business in room 1 with a fist-pumping 4x4 workout from Bicep before a special back-to-back extended set from the Parisian 'My Love Is Underground' homeboys Brawther and Jeremy Underground. Omar S flies in from Detroit to take us into the early hours and beyond, this really will not be one to be missed. Tief resident John Malcolm Moore will be warming things up in room 1 with a bag of carefully dug out house cuts, this room is going to flow like a river!

Room 2 gives a firm nod to Berlin with a live set from Portable (aka Bodycode) whose live vocals add something very special to his perfectly engineered tracks.. This really will be a treat through Corsica's renowned soundsystem. Mano Le Tough's Panorama bar sets have been making waves and we cant wait to hear what he has up his sleeve for the birthday, after his set at Tief in November we have very high expectations. Tief boss Hesseltime will be closing the room and Trouble Vision main man Mr Solid Gold will be warming things up.

As its a special occasion we will be moving our spare funktion one soundsystem next door into the Columbian club, fitting it with a few disco balls and custom lighting and filling it with the campest party-starting disco around with sets from DFA's Daniel Wang, Hunee, Casino Times and Wolf Music label bosses Matt Neale and Stu Clark.

We have had to bump up ticket prices a little for obvious reasons but for this line up it is still an absolute steal and it will sell out so get them in early and we will see you there!
