Out of Hand. Phil Weeks & Detroit Swindle. Was On Saturday, October 13th. @ Bussey Warehouse, 133 Rye Lane, SE15 3ST, 10pm - 6am

Phil Weeks, Detroit Swindle, Marsham, JonnAy & Bradley (Le Piscine), Joel Bar

Well...we definitely went and got out of hand back in June with Spencer Parker & Jef K, and now we are back to do more of the same - and we couldn't be more excited about bringing you some of the best House music talent around in Phil Weeks and a LONDON DEBUT for Detroit Swindle.

Phil Weeks really needs no introduction, he is a house music purist. Whether DJing or producing, the Parisian with the huge personality delivers raw beats influenced in e...
qual measure by classic Chicago house and nu-school French flair, underpinned with a hip-hop attitude. His long running Robsoul Recordings also defines him as one of the most skilled label heads in underground house music.

Detroit Swindle consists of Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets, 2 guys that, without actually growing up together, have had pratically an identical musical upbringing. A vibrant mix of Motown-soul, funk, hiphop and jazz inspired them from an early age on and after a varied exploration through techno and house, they met each other by mutual interest in Detroit inspired deephouse.

2012 is the year of their first releases. With their 'Starvin EP' on Saints & Sonnets, and their second EP in 2012 released on Dirt Crew it's not been bad for a debut year.

Public House 3rd Birthday. Braiden / Secret Special Guest. Was On Saturday, October 13th. @ Bar A Bar, 133-135 Stoke Newington Road, N16 8BT, 10pm - 4am

After a summer hiatus, which has seen the Public House team take in sounds from Berlin to Barcelona, we are back with news of our next event. This is our most special to date as we celebrate our 3rd Birthday! We have had 19 special parties over the years and we all look back with much nostalgia to our humble beginnings in the Caribbean paradise that was the old Shacklewell Lane in Dalston. Since then Public House has gone from strength to strength, plucking the finest up and coming talent from across Europe. For our birthday we wanted to change tact slightly and look to showcase who we believe are some of the hottest talents to come from our own city. We can proudly announce our our 3rd Birthday on October 13th at Stoke Newington's most revered late night haunt BarABar. We'll be installing a custom Funktion One system, if you were at our last party with John Osborn, you'll know the level of sound we'll be pushing...

Headlining will be Braiden, after his smash on Joy Orbison's Doldrums label with 'The Alps', he really caught our attention and after listening to his sets we were blown away. We seriously rate him as London's most talented selector. We'll be posting some of his mixes over the next weeks, they are sublime, and don't forget to catch his shows on Londons hottest underground station NTSlive (http://ntslive.co.uk/?author=182). We have another super secret guest to announce, which we will reveal a week before the party. What we can say is that he is someone we've been wanting to book for a while and his legendary crate digging sets are perfect for Public House, with releases on Moon Harbour and liebe*detail his pedigree is unquestionable, we're very excited to have locked him down, stay tuned. Joining them will be your beloved PH residents for a night of the best underground music from the best city in the world...

The venue is a brilliant basement space that has a 250 capacity, which we will be enforcing to keep the special atmosphere that you have come to demand from PH party's. We will be sparing no expense with the sound at this one, so expect full octane F1 in your face. Due to the huge volume of guestlist requests we have decided that we are only going to sell tickets. You can buy £5 Early birds, £8 general tickets on RA and we will reserve a VERY limited number of £10 on the door. Please don't hesitate to get your tickets in early as we will not be selling a second release or increasing the capacity as we want to insure the party is inline with our ethos. Small space, big sound - SMASH.

Braiden (Doldrums)
-------------
Constantly mutating and branching out, Braiden is at the pinnacle of the new wave of music coming out of London. As one of its most able DJs, he employs an amalgam of sophisticated techniques and a selective imagination which takes in everything from sumptuous House to the most developed bass incarnations, stopping by garage rhythms, and unpredictable techno on the way.Braiden rose to prominence as a DJ and photographer of the highest calibre, holding down a Rinse FM slot and regularly uploading dizzyingly good three-deck mixes that connect the dots between classic Chicago House, Eglo Records boogie and Detroit techno. A fateful term at the Red Bull Music Academy in 2010 has equipped the man with the necessary tools to pull those myriad influences together, and the results speak for themselves. An exhibitionist described by FACT Magazine as “absurdly talented”, Braiden lives up to the hype with a mixing style that thrives on the element of surprise – he has been known to crawl Berlin’s clubs in search of undiscovered glitch- or disco-infused music from alternate universes. Look to Braiden for a technicolour vision of the future of London music.

Heroes Futuristic Birthday Ball. Oscar Mulero, Zebra Katz (Live), Hannah Holland. Was On Saturday, October 13th. @ Egg, 200 York Way, Kings X, London, N7, 10pm - 10am

What better way for Egg London's forward-thinking party Heroes to celebrate its birthday than with a huge Futuristic Ball!

In just over a year this monthly night, headed up by DJ/ Promoter Jim Warboy, has gone from strength to strength. It brings together some of the most cutting edge dance music and performances from international stars alongside London's rising DJs and leaders in fashion and creative arts.

This is your chance to take a look into the future. It's outrageous, stylish, and will make you move. You'll never look back.

GUEST DJS OVER THE PAST YEAR:
Kenny Larkin, Sébastien Léger, Butch, Format B, Christian Smith, Gregor Tresher, Marc Romboy, Uner, Kaiser Disco, Oscar Mulero, Ramon Tapia, Patrick Chardronnet, Ida Engberg, Marc Marzenit, Coyu, Deepgroove, Smokin Jo, Bloody Mary, Solo, Willie Graff, Honey Dijon, Lottie, Kink, Shadow Child, Reset Robot, Alexander Fog, Hannah Holland, JoJo De Freq

OSCAR MULERO
Oscar Mulero's DJ career has been as prolific and long lasting as the development of dance music. As a key figure in this evolution, Oscar has always absorbed new trends and kept his finger on the pulse of electronic dance music, from the end of the 80's right up to the present day. It is impossible to understand the phenomenon of this DJ in Spain without taking into account his tireless work behind the decks for more than a decade. New World sessions were soon all the rave and Oscar entered the studio for the first time to collaborate in the making of the club's official record, Nuclear Zone. His was a backseat involvement, more as a sound advisor than as a producer. It wasn't until later on that producing and deejaying became his livelihood. The record went on sale in 1993 and was quite a success, going on to get included in many of the national compilations of the time.

ZEBRA KATZ
Fresh on the scene and he's already taken the fashion and hip hop worlds by storm! Pulling from a multimedia and performance art background, Zebra Katz brings a slo-mo dark delivery to his rhymes, which are set over a minimal, unencumbered beat on his highly acclaimed first single "IMA READ" (Mad Decent/Jeffrrees). "IMA READ" was heralded as the "Official Song of Paris Fashion Week" after Rick Owens personally chose it to score his Fall/Winter Womenswear runway show. Since its release three months ago, the hauntingly sexy video has been viewed on YouTube a half a million times (as of May 1 2012) and ZK has been featured in the NYTimes' New Music and Fashion and Style sections, Pitchfork, Vogue, Interview Magazine, and myriad other magazines and blogs.

BURNSKI

In a day and age where the definition of ‘house’ is constantly being
re-conceptualised, a new breed of young-blood producers step forward
bringing with them a deep and groove-laden sound building on classic
timbers. At the forefront we find Burnski. Deftly abridging vintage
Detroit and Chicago, always infused with the unmistakeable Burnski
charm, he is moving dancefloors all over the world.

The steadfast vinyl advocate regularly takes his organic and
deep-erring sound to the most noted clubs and nights around the world.
These, at a glance, include fabric London, Watergate and his home-turf
of Berlin, the LA Rooftop Standard, The Electric Pickle in Miami, MAC
in Barcelona and Rex Club in Paris to name but a few, along with
holding down a residency at Leeds’ finest Back To Basics.

Leading the pack of prodigiously talented UK producers, the now Berlin
based producer is only in his mid-twenties and at the top of his game,
with accolades coming in a steady stream: He was nominated as DJ Mag’s
Best Breakthrough DJ of 2010, and his ’Malibu’ track on Hot Creations
the same year made it into Mixmag’s end of year Top 100 tracks. More
recently, three of his tracks have already commandeered
Residentadvisor’s Top 50 Tracks for several consecutive months this
year.

April 2012 saw a slew of new material, whilst simultaneously
broadening the horizons of his label affiliations. A hotly-tipped
release with Real Tone stable-mate M A N I K for the ’You Know What
It’s Like’ EP proved to be one of spring’s catchiest records, with
further Burnski & M A N I K material promised for later this year.
This was followed by a welcomed reunion with his One Records brethren
for the absolutely standout tune ’Let It Be feat. Beckford’ in May.

In the months ahead Burnski adds to his already impressive repertoire,
which includes Real Tone, Culprit, Hot creations, Poker Flat, 2020
Vision, Soma Records and Tsuba. Expect Burnski’s output of slick and
on point productions finding their way into the catalogues of some of
today’s most noted labels, along with a string of remixes for
high-profile artists that include Maya Jane Coles, Crazy P and
Subb-an.

THANKSMATE

"ThanksMate" is a bond formed by two very talented producers and DJs from Italy in 2011.
The expression of "ThanksMate" has derived from a culture and country that has given them the opportunity and freedom to formulate their music ideas together. Thus, ThanksMate was born with an objective to produce and show their fans their gratitude for their passionate support.

Fabio Agostini originally comes from a Dark Techno background in which he has been placed on some of the most important labels such as Elektrax Recordings and Naked lunch to name a few.
He is also heavily supported by other famous DJs with the likes from Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, Chris Liebing, Alex Karakasis and many more. He has also entered strongly several times on the Beatport top 50 in the Techno category. His latest release was with Nachstrom Schallplatten and platimum records.

On the contrary, Merko Palomba has gathered an extensive wide range of experience within the Deep house scenario with a release out on Globox from Sasha Carassi and supported by Jeff Samuel,Ralf and many others.

This has then resulted in a fusion taste for music in which they have integrated their mix of passion and devotion for electronic music into a fresh new and funky beat that will let you jump all night long. Already having spinned together with DJs like Troy Pierce, Matt Tolfrey, Glimpse, Danny Benedittini and many more. These duo are hungry for music, always in search of new ideas and for that perfect drop, they will be releasing their taste of fusion music very soon. So watch out for this two very talented DJs as they ready to shake the world of music up.
