Electric Minds. Jackmaster & Ben UFO. Was On Saturday, November 10th. @ at a secret location, 10pm - 6am

Jackmaster & Ben UFO play all night b2b

electric minds has a reputation of welcoming the new breed of electronic labels, so we’re excited to continue that tradition by welcoming Numbers' Jackmaster & Hessle Audio’s Ben UFO for an all night B2B session.

As well as being the co-founder of Numbers, Jackmaster is one hell of a DJ. He is a man who lives to play records for people and his eclectic sets skip through everything, embracing guilty pleasures and forgotten classics in the same breath as unreleased dubplate heaters. He is steadily building a reputation as a taste-maker within the bastardized swamp of bass-ed out club music, as well as being one of the most emphatic party selectors.

Having become immersed in the still emerging dubstep scenes in London and Leeds in 2005, Ben UFO’s musical taste was shaped primarily by the DMZ and Sub Dub nights taking place in those cities. However, as music tastes have shifted and scenes have fragmented, Ben UFO’s approach to music has developed. His level of commitment to the dance music of the last two decades has led to a collection of records which reflects the position London has held as a city responsible for the constant development of forward thinking music.

This is a rare opportunity to see these DJ’s play together within such an intimate setting. This party will sell out so it is highly advisable to purchase in advance from Resident Advisor.

Weekend Circuit: Winter Closing. Surgeon. Was On Saturday, November 10th. @ The Rhythm Factory, 16-18 Whitechapel Road , Whitechapel, E1 1EW, 10pm - 6am

Weekend Circuit : Winter Closing with Surgeon

We are back for the final instalment of 2012 to round-up what has been a whirl wind of a year. We've had the pleasure to welcome some of the most renowned DJ's in the scene including Derrick May, Lucy, Xhin, Sebo K, Dario Zenker, Avatism & Fabrizio Maurizi. Thank you to everyone who's shared the dance floor with us through out the year and we hope you can join us once more to finish off 2012 with one of the most influential artists in the electronic music world, Anthony Child - AKA - Surgeon!

Surgeon - Tresor / Dynamic Tension

Surgeon is a true artist at heart with an echoing passion for the collective culture of techno music. Nowadays, electronic artists tend to retreat into a stylistic corner but not Surgeon, he dares to draw the bigger picture. After releasing outstanding productions on such renowned labels as Tresor, Counterbalance and Warp Records, Surgeon has established a significant presence as a DJ, writer and producer. Yet, it’s not easy to categorize Surgeon because he’s a unique and special artist who sets out to not only achieve greatness, but does so in the humblest fashion. A native of Northamptonshire England, Surgeon (aka Anthony Child) was exposed from an early age to the UK’s rich variety of electronic musical influences, and from this early age, he responded.

After paying his DJ'ing dues, Surgeon’s desire to be a part of the electronic music world grew into a pressing desire to produce and write. Surgeon's entry into production was also noteworthy; urged on by producer Mick Harris (Child is a fan of Harris' Scorn project), the former Napalm Death drummer locked Child in his tiny studio, imploring him to "go mad." The result, the eponymous debut EP, was released on Downwards Records.

Surgeon forges onward into the electronic music universe in his writing and remixing productions and DJ’ing. His tracks and remixes are humble, effective and elegant. His music clearly represents a high-quality outlet for avant-garde productions, collaborations and highly anticipated DJ sets. Surgeon’s music is about sharing art, inspiration and creativity.

Tickets will go on sale Monday 17th September starting at just £5!

We can also finally announce that Jaded will be hosting our official after party at Cable! Look out for wrist bands on the night for concession entry to the afters.

Strictly over 18, no entry without ID!

All aboard the Motorship Stubnitz, the former East German deep sea fishing-freezer turned roving arts, culture and rave centre. We’re excited to be taking over this historic vessel for one night only on the 10th of November at its current residence in the London Docklands in what is remarkably the first visit to the capital in Stubnitz’s history. Inspired by the rich nautical rave history of the legendary Acid-on-Sea parties in times past, and the timeless magic of the open waters, we present to you THE LIFE ACIDIC.

We’ve assembled a frankly ridiculous lineup of pan-European 303 enthusiasts with heavy emphasis on live performances and hardware sets. On the ACID DECK, we are excited to be hosting live sets from Rephlex legends CEEPHAX ACID CREW, DMX KREW and D’ARCANGELO alongside emerging 303 abuser ROY OF THE RAVERS and the perfect DJ accompaniment courtesy of the party-hearty Dutch acid crew 030303 from Utrecht.

Meanwhile on the POOP DECK, synth meister RIVAL CONSOLES plays a special set on his birthday (don’t ask how old!), alongside the best-kept secret in electronic music GARETH CLARKE, braindancer TH’IDIOT, electro goodness from ROTODRONE, hardware freakery with QUIP and DJ support from The Centrifuge’s humble spinners.

So, get your best sea-faring garb ready and get on board! There’ll be prizes and goodies for the most appropriately-dressed of ye scurvy lot. Think diving gear, pirates and explorers, Robinson Crusoe, pondlife…space is limited and tickets are already selling fast, so don’t miss the boat on this one…
