**AFTER HOURS**

SPEEDY J

Jaded turns 8 on Saturday 17th November with a warehouse party and extended afterhour session. Over Jaded’s 7th year, with the involvement of our friends from LWE, Jaded has spawned new a warehouse alter ego. The dedication of the Jaded collective has echoed out to the most devoted music lovers, and built a feeling of union and intensity that has seemed unreal at times.

It’s been a year of indulgence for Raymundo Rodriguez too, experimenting with tinctures of techno and house, always playfully aware of the moods he’s creating, whilst Krista’s bookings have become ever-more whimsical. To the organisers, Jaded is always inspired because the music is always evolving, and London’s after-hours should be the place where the workers and the real pilgrims can experience the zeitgeist in a more intense way.

For Jaded’s 8 year celebrations, we’ve invited an artist who exemplifies those ideals. Ellen Allien was originally inspired by London’s fledgling acid house scene, returning in the early 90s to Berlin where she pioneered the sound in clubs like Tresor and Fischlabor producing richly textured instrumental material like ‘Yellow Sky.’ It was in the late 90s that she decided to throw her own Bpitch control parties and from this, the label was born…

Always working with different producers with the moods of her albums morphing from electronic darkness to love songs and even to parody on her latest single Galactic Horse, she’s framed and inspired the sound of her home city, creating kaleidoscopic visions that draw us in in such a way, that she’s the artist we want to lead us past the darkest point of night and into the dawn.

We Fear Silence present Blueprint. Robert Hood, James Ruskin, Mark Broom. Was On Saturday, November 17th. @ Cable London, 33A Bermondsey Street, London, SE1, 10pm - 6am

After Jeff Mills contributed to a truly prolific techno spectacle here at Cable in August, We Fear Silence & Blueprint keep the momentum going by drafting in the services of another bona fide legend, Detroit's Robert Hood. This affair is also a fitting progression to it's former in the Blueprint series, as Hood was a founding member of Underground Resistance Records alongside Jeff Mills. Saturday 17th November Should be a date carved in the diary for even the most discerning techno disciple.

In the early nineties, the streets of Detroit witnessed a congregation of electronic music enthusiasts whose forthcoming actions helped change the face of modern techno and spark a creative revolution. Hood along with Mills and Mike Banks, created the perennial Underground Resistance imprint as an output for their experimental productions which were a potent fusion of acid & industrial sounds, Chicago house and Detroit techno. He continued through the mid nineties with pivotal works for Mills’ Axis label and his own label M-Plant, leading the way for the stripped-down dance floor minimalism that further shaped the global techno landscape.

The man will perform his highly regarded live show which is infamous for being raw, industrial and relentless. Blending vintage tracks with more contemporary works such as his 2010 LP 'Omega', Hood forms original and previously unheard grooves adding an element of mystery to the dance floor. Of course label boss James Ruskin will will be on hand, as will Blueprint stalwart Mark Broom, as the pair perform individual sets before joining forces as The Fear Ratio. In terms of their work as a pair, Broom and Ruskin have released several tracks together with the more recent cuts falling under The Fear Ratio moniker. November will be the duo's Blueprint debut adding another reason to head to Cable for this momentous showcase of authentic techno. Couple with this a Colony hosted second room and the date is complete.

Fresh from an inspiring summer break, we are back!
To ensure Discreet comes back with a BANG we have been very busy hunting down a new home for our growing family and the perfect booking to represent our sound…

Firstly we would like to welcome Alexandar Kyosev from sofia, Bulgaria for his London debut.

Alex is a young and very talented dj/producer. His productions are spreading like wild fire with huge releases on labels such as Karton, Early Dub records & Tzinah. Alex has recently been collaborating with Fernando Costantini who is another name to watch. His tracks have been supported world wide by dj's such as tINI, Marco Corola, Enzo Siragusa and Hector to name a few!

Secondly to announce our new home a small basement space situated in Dalston. With its low ceilings, industrial feel and limited capacity along with a little sprinkle of Discreet fairy dust it has all the ingredients to be a truly special and intimate affair.

Finally we welcome a new member to the family Reiss Trowbridge, a dj with incredible talent and music taste, he came and played with us down at the prison last year and also joined us in Bulgaria for Meadows in the mountain festival. Reiss will be setting the tone for the night so make sure you are there early.

We have limited capacity and it is pay on door only so please arrive in good time to guarantee entry. There is also a cloakroom available inside so make sure you all rap up warm!
