The Lonely Hertz Club. w/ Jon Carter & more. Was On Thursday, June 10th. @ Dalston Superstore, 177 Kingsland High St, London, E8 2PB , 9pm - 2am

The Lonely Hertz Club presents:

Jon Carter – Ghetto tech set! (Bugged Out!, Monkey Mafia, Heavenly)
Captain Magic (Peanut Butter Jelly Time, Greco Roman Soundsystem)
S-G-T Popper (Lonely Hertz, Clash)
Dean Slydell (Swaparama)
Andy Thompson (Clash)

Thursday 10th June // The Dalston Superstore, London // Free Entry.

Jon Carter Swings by with his bulging boxes of classics. Having toured through several eras of dance culture he's ready to land at Dalston's Superstore to drop his sizzling ghetto tech set that's now razor sharp and ready to fill your ears with filth.

From the seminal Heavenly Sunday Social club of the 90s where the party faithful danced to everything from Carl Craig to the Carpenters and onto the heads down / hands up classics of the UKs best clubs - he's been causing his own storm on dancefloors around the world for nearly 20 years.

As much loved at acid house bastions such as Bugged Out! as the Big Beaten beaches of Brighton he's been around and has the musical tales to tell. And we're delighted he'll be spinning such a yarn at The Lonely Hertz Club, a dancefloor for soles needing more sounds.

In able support is Captain Magic, a proven party starter and wizard of low end theories with even lower dance moves. Expect cuts of jungle to be jogging with the filthiest of fidget cuts laying down the law of why she's such an in demand character.

No line up will ever be complete without the swarthy Paul Sethi aka S-G-T Popper, the man at the helm with more DJ ideas than eye lashes. And fuck me can he flutter them just as seductively.

All this is FREE. Which, lets face it, is a bit mental really.

Come play and unwind your behind like only you know how.

But be warned, it's only for the summer so make sure to come and indulge yourselves while the sun is shinning and the skin is baking - we'll be back to once a month in October (but we'll have plenty of surprises for ya).

Also, if colorful summer outfits, coconut smelling tanning lotions, extravaganza sun glasses and super funky hats weren't enough, over the sunny season HALF BAKED will feature works of amazing local artists (Paintings, Fashion Shows, Plays etc...). It just promises to be The real treat, The place to be for the lovely, sunny, happy, summer days!

The venue will be equipped with a state of the art Funktion 1 Soundsystem .

To say we are pleased to have K - Hand aka Kelli Hand & Fred P as our next guests would be a huge understatement .

A bit on Both Guests :

K - Hand aka Kelli Hand - Detroit ( Acacia Records , Third Ear , Distance , Studio !K7 )
A history charting the rise of electronic music from Detroit will be incomplete without any mention of Kelli Hand .
Kelli Hand has consistently and militantly represented the city & it's music for a long long time .
With over 350 releases & over 350 appearances , it looks like Kelli is here to stay .
In the electronic music community, few DJs and producers have proven real staying power. Some explode onto the scene then fade into obscurity. Kelli Hand, or simply “K Hand,” continues to maintain as a true player throughout from her now two-decade career.
Hand’s exposure to early Detroit electronic music came via radio mix shows, resident DJ in Detroit for over two years, and recommendations from friends. She was part of the community that birthed techno and experienced the house scene firsthand, frequenting New York spots during the “Paradise Garage” era.
Hand began DJing and producing tracks, and was the first women attempting to break into the male-dominated genre worldwide, secures gigs and performances having audiences wanting more. Her ability to move seamlessly from house to techno awes many securing her DJ status.
Today more success came Hand’s way as a producer and remixer. From the Ananda Project to remixes for the excellent Norma Jean Bell her own releases, producing countless tracks of techno and house music . The formation of her label, Acacia Records (House), Gorsch Detroit (Techno), broke new ground, and the labels remains one of the few labels headed by a woman. The beauty of Kelli Hand is that she refuses to settle for anything less than the best.

On this occasion Kelli will be schooling us in all things Detroit , New York & Chicago House !!!! .

The people @ the excellent Gridface blog recently got Kelli on the phone and put together a great interview ahead of an appearance from her @ this year's Detroit Electronic Music Festival : http://www.gridface.com/features/k-hand.html

Fred P Aka Black Jazz Consortium - New York ( Soul People Music , Underground Quality )

Fred P has truly captivated the house fraternity of late with his deep as the ocean house cuts on his very own Soul People Music as well as on Underground Quality . The word deep has recently been used to a point of overkill but one man that word applies to in his character as well as the music he makes is Fred . Fred is no new comer either . he has been carving and working on music for the past 20 years . so there is knowledge and skill there !!! .
Fred , Jus Ed , Dj Qu & Levon Vincent became much more than just New York dj's and producers . they truly captivated and captured audiences from all over the place with their highly intoxicating take on house music .
articles and heavy features came from the likes of Resident Advisor , Xlr8 and many more but Fred & the rest of the crew remain focused and truly humble . 2010 Looks like it will be a rich year for Fred what with ace releases already garnering high praise on Soul People alongside Move D & Steve Oh . Contribution on Laid . Fred is also constantly on the road with gigs in Berlin , New York , Belgrade , Frankfurt , London Ireland , Philly , Miami Winter Music Conference 2010 For Ra .e.t.c. & satisfied audiences and promoters all around and more release planned for this year only the sky is the limit for this great master builder . The devastatingly brilliant Deep Things Ep truly cemented Fred position as a producer of note . Little White Earbuds could not get enough of Fred and made his ace Structure cd album their number one album for 2010 :
