///Shift

///Justin Robertson

Justin Robertson's career in dance music dates all the way back to the Madchester days when he was spinning at clubs like Spice and Most Excellent, often frequented by two lads called Tom and Ed who would later become The Chemical Brothers. Now based in London, Robertson fulfills roles as DJ, producer and lead singer of band Thee Earls.

As a DJ, Justin wears several hats besides the naff one on his head. Regulars to London nights Bugged Out and Together will be familiar with his mixture of ravey acid techno and electronic house while those who frequent Gay Mod and Sunday Best will know him for his eclectic sets of reggae, northern soul and pop.

///Ray Mang

Ray Mang is the disco dance party DJ alter ego of writer/producer Raj Gupta. The moniker was introduced as a vehicle for creating, releasing and spinning anything goes disco-centric party music for collectors, dancers, enthusiasts and Jocks alike. Taking inspiration from the extended disco mixes, dub versions and edits of such luminaries as Larry Levan, Walter Gibbons, Daniele Baldelli, Tee Scott, Began Cekic and Tom Moulton, and the open minded music policies of some of the pioneering early clubs such as the Paradise Garage, the Loft and the Italian Cosmic parties, Ray Mang set out to help keep the glitter ball shimmering and the disco flame burning into the new millennium!

Caligula. First Birthday party. Was On Friday, June 18th. @ The Bathhouse, 7-8 Bishopsgate Churchyard, EC2M 3TJ, 10pm - 5am

CALIGULA IS ONE
First Birthday Party

It's now one year since Leo Belicha and Jim Warboy launched Caligula at The Bathhouse. This Friday is going to be a massive birthday party celebrating the past year and a renewed look as Caligula moves forward. Caligula is calling on all like-minded party people to create a sensational night that looks to the future with excitement and to make the next year as exciting as the first one.

Caligula is having a shake up to help keep things fresh and to satisfy London's constant hunger for creative pleasure. The infamous, golden birdcage, that has become synonymous with the Bathhouse, will be a glittering constellation of colourful characters with a proven track record in creating influential music and events. The rosta of resident DJs has now been increased and they will all be showcasing Caligula's updated musical direction - uplifting and optimistic. Lots more Hi-NRG joining the disco, classic house, and party tunes. Caligula's residents are:

The Lovely Jonjo (Hot Boy Dancing Spot)
Robert Outch
Andy Blake (Unknown World/ Dissident Records)
Scottee (Eat Your Heart Out)
Kris Di Angelis (Circus)
Heckle
Warboy

Sitar disco diva Bishi will be performing an amazing show with some her latest floor filling tracks.

There will be a photographic projection showing some of the best photos taken by WeKnowWhatYouDidLastNight.com at Caligula over the past year. A chance to look back at all stylish and outrageous characters that have helped create such amazing nights.

And of course, cake duties could only be carried out by London's Eat Your Heart Out star Scottee.

As well as running the successful Friday night over the past year, the Caligula team have also managed to organise and host a number of high profile events including:

• Hosting a champagne reception for the British Fashion Council to celebrate 25 years of London Fashion Week

• Organising a Mayfair launch party for the new sunglasses by Roisin Murphy for Linda Farrow

• Organising the LFW after party at Chinawhite for designers Basso & Brooke

• Hosting the Secret Garden with all Caligula's friends at Shoreditch House’s hugely popular Pool Disco.

More one-off events are also being planned throughout the summer.

Jim and Leo would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has shown such incredible and constant support over the past twelve months - all the DJs, performers, and most importantly the party people who have helped to make Caligula such a continuing success.
