Soundcrash. Amon Tobin – ISAM 2.0 Live. Was On Saturday, February 23rd. @ Hammersmith Apollo / Queen Caroline Street London, W6 9QH, 7pm - 11pm

In 2011 Amon Tobin showed the world what the future of live electronica looks like with his incredible ‘Beyond 3D’ ISAM Live show. A world tour followed, including sold out shows at The Roundhouse, Brixton Academy and the Sidney Opera House (twice) to name but a few. And now, in 2012, Amon Tobin presents ISAM Live 2.0., an evolution of ISAM meaning it’s bigger, louder and more spectacular than ever. With a structure twice the size of its prior incarnation and new visuals set to a more beat-heavy soundtrack from his Two Fingers side-project ISAM 2.0 is the audiovisual show to watch in 2013. To make this occasion even more special this will be the first and last time ISAM 2.0 visits the UK, as Amon moves on to concentrate on new future projects. You really don’t want to miss this.

Please note: ISAM Live always sells out in advance. ISAM 2.0 contains strobe lighting and very loud music.

OCTAVE ONE
Octave One is a group of American Techno musicians composed of siblings Lenny Burden and Lawrence Burden

“From their Detroit roots to their global renaissance, from their Live set up to the sensations they feel on the stage in front of an insane crowd. Energy and experience concentrated in One.” (Soundwall.it)

2000 brought the most recognized Octave One release to date, “Blackwater”. The massive hit has appeared on over 30 compilation albums worldwide (with sales exceeding one million collectively). The track is also been a classic on the decks of some of the world’s best known DJs, Little Louie Vega, Danny Teneglia, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, Jonathan Peters, Laurent Garnier, among many, many others.

2011 welcomes the release of the Octave One retrospective compilation “Revisited: Here, There, and Beyond”. Marking 20 years of living the Techno life. “Here, There, and Beyond” features O1 classics reworked by some of the band’s favorite producers: Luke Slater, Sandwell District, Ken Ishii, Alexander Kowalski, Vince Watson, Alter Ego, Los Hermanos, and Cari Lekenbusch. “Revisited: Here, There, and Beyond”, both the album and tour are slated for release in November 2011. One more milestone in the journey of one of Techno’s most exciting bands.

FP All night long...

Synopsis Part 4. Konrad Black. Was On Saturday, February 23rd. @ Basing House, 25 Kingsland Road, Shoreditch, E28AA, 10pm - 4am

Based on the idea of conveying a story through music during a short period of time, Synopsis is the realisation of Half Baked profile Greg Brockmann and Sami Daik and is the product of many years of partying and playing alongside each other.

Taking place every two months in the intimate settings of East London's Basing House, widely renowned for its soundsystem and dimly lit roof garden, Synopsis aim to showcase well-established international artists as well as close friends, who are all versed in the art of presenting a narrative through music.

Part 4 welcomes the infamous Konrad Black as main act alongside residents Greg Brockmann & Sami Daik

Time has accelerated ten-fold for Konrad over the last five years since the dark, shadowy tones of "Draconia" & "Medusa Smile" enveloped dancefloors around the Globe, christening his influencial Wagon Repair label in style as well as establishing him as a highly innovative producer and much sought after remixer (just check out his work for Tiga, Snax, Audion and Martini Brös if further proof is required).

His relocation to Berlin 5 years ago also gave him the opportunity to express himself more regularly as a DJ, resulting in a fast expanding reputation for sending crowds into a frenzy wherever the call of duty takes him. Konrad knows it's about living and breathing the music, it's not just a question of turning up, spinning a few tunes and then disappearing back into the night, it's about getting to know the people, understanding what makes the club tick and always delivering a night of memorable tracks and seamless transgressions. He quickly found himself holding down one of the much coveted residencies at the Legendary Panorama Bar as well as regular spots at dance musics epicenters; Fabric in London, Rex in Paris, Tenax in Florence, Privilege in Ibiza to name a few…

Nofitstate. Ellen Allien, Simon Baker (2020 Vision), Geddes (Mobilee). Was On Friday, February 22nd. @ at a secret location, 10pm - 6am

We’re embarking on 2013 with an unwavering commitment to great music and sound, and an undying love for the dance floor that you’ve come to expect from nofitstate. Our party on February 22nd 2013 will be no exception.

We’re keeping it simple, it’s going to be a small party with a big lineup, in a great venue you haven’t seen before. We know you hear that all the time, but it’s true - this is a brand new space, more details to follow!

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Bpitch Control’s Ellen Allien! That’s right, she was there at the dawn of house and techno in Berlin, she’s at the epicentre of one of the most important music scenes of modern times, DJing around the globe for the last 20 years, she’s is always ahead of the game. This woman is a legend, and she’s as exciting and fresh as she was when it all began. All rise for the first lady of techno.

Next we welcome Simon Baker… the DJ, producer and creator of 2020 Vision is known for offering up infectious dance floor grooves. Baker’s career may have taken him around the world, but it started up North. Influenced by the club scene, a regular at the Hacienda and resident at Asylum, Baker’s background is rock solid. In more recent years he’s worked with Jamie Jones, and we’ve heard whispers of a collaboration with Lee Curtiss in the pipeline. Expect big things of this man in 2013.

And rest assured Geddes, true pioneer of London’s underground scene and creator of nofitstate, will be there... following an amazing year DJing, producing and promoting across the globe, you’d think this man needed a holiday! On the contrary! Fresh from the success of his recent release on Mobilee, he’s straight back on the case to deliver this party. As always he’ll be effortlessly running the show, and playing those deep house tracks we know you love, you’ll happily surrender to the rhythm in your feet …

Remember, this will be a very small party. Make sure you arn’t disappointed.
